The weekend closes in with cricket symphonies outdoors, night lights on upstairs, and babies snuggled in tight with light cotton jammies.

Now comes my favorite season of all-- fall.

The Wizard of Oz party came and went, taking my camera crashing down with it. Thus, the absence of photos of children chasing Bobby, holding the "vitch" (witch) Johanna, and her broom.

Thankfully, the broom was retrieved and all of the children, including Caroline, returned home to Kansas to enjoy cake and ice cream. Photos to come soon along with another August birthday party.

It has been extremely fascinating watching the creativity of a little child expand. Everything Caroline touches with her crayons turns to gold. What I've learned? Let her be untouched. Let her mind flow the way it desires, without my persuasion and influence.
